Our Story
Hi, I'm Kelly Marie. Welcome to my website!
Years ago, as a mother of four, I became concerned about the effects of the barrage of chemicals and environmental pollutants we come in contact with daily. Often, without our knowledge.
To that end, my husband and I started a quest to move our family toward more natural living. We started gardening, canning and jarring our own foods and creating home cooked meals from our homegrown fruits and vegetables.
We then started to scrutinize the chemicals that were in our cleaning and beauty products. We searched everywhere for products made naturally. Ones that were free of synthetic materials and unpronounceable ingredients you need a dictionary to decipher.
This journey soon led us to other creative pursuits. Things took a special turn when my life-long friend Pam introduced me to the new adventure of soap making. The more I learned, the more I enjoyed the process of creating products with my own hands, using ingredients I could trust. And I was delighted in the fact that I was able to reduce the toxicity exposure in our home environment.
My family loved the different soaps I would make, and they each had their special requests. I started to expand my knowledge of soap making into other products, like lip balms, deodorants and body butters.
Soon, I was making gifts of my various homemade products at the request of our friends and extended family. Over time, I received special requests from prior recipients of my soaps and beauty products.
This much-loved hobby of mine, almost without trying, soon blossomed into a cottage business. I saw that my community was as interested in purchasing these natural products for their own family as I was. I realized there was a niche market for my products, and this was the birth of what is known as "Kelly Marie's Essentials."
I couldn't have done it all without the help of my husband, our friends and family... Thank you for all your hard work in making this a reality.
I continue to personally handcraft every product and create them as carefully as I do for my own family. I hope you enjoy them too!
